We are proud to welcome Rob Marcoe back to Texas and Harper House.
People familiar with Harper House may remember the name Rob Marcoe
from the late 90's. Rob started in 1995 as our Director of New
Media Services and later became the Director of Internet and Information
Services before his departure in 2000. At the time, we were beginning
CD-ROM and website development. Rob's responsibilities also included
workflow consultations and developing our email, web and ftp servers,
which are still in use today. I think the most memorable of Rob's
legacy's is Kitty Korner, an area of our website where Rob posted
new and different daily tips and tricks for our customers.
In 2000 an opportunity attracted Rob and his family to Maine where
he spent the past 5+ years at L.L.Bean working in Information Services
as their Publishing Technology Analyst. During his tenure Rob supported
the hardware, software and workflows for the Print Creative Department,
E-Commerce, International Page Production, Retail Graphics, Advertising
as well as the Product Design Groups within L.L.Bean. During this
time Rob also managed and/or extensively participated in several
large scale projects such as the selection and implementation of
an Enterprise Asset Management Solution, the company-wide Macintosh
conversion to OSX, a project to revamp the way prepress and photography
were accomplished at LLB as well as the selection and implementation
of an Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution.
His knowledge and experience in the graphic arts and catalog/retail
industries as well as his familiarity with the organization of
Harper House make him a perfect fit for this new position at Harper
House, Director of Information Services. Rob attributes his decision
to come back to Harper House to our long history as a provider
of specialty "boutique" premedia services as well as
our commitment and potential for growth in this industry.
Today, our business mainstay is still premedia. And, in order
to satisfy our customers' needs we also offer complementary services
both downstream and upstream, including photography, creative services
as well as printing and fulfillment. However, one of the most valuable
services we provide is also one of the hardest to define. It's
the maintenance and development of information, technology and
workflow optimization, which we offer our clients as well. We refer
to this broadly as Information Services.
We've always made the management of information a priority at
Harper House. Yet with Rob Marcoe as Director, we will be better
able to integrate our systems, bringing us another step closer
to our goal: satisfied customers who feel doing business with us
is a pleasure. This ideal fits right in line with Rob's goal: to
offer top-notch customer service. Our business is fast-paced and
subject to continuous changes. Our customers rely on us to meet
their tight deadlines with precision and accuracy. And it is often
what our customers don't see: the computer infrastructure and the
minds that make it work, which allow us to accomplish the customers
objective as efficiently as possible for both Harper House as well
as for the customer while always maintaining the highest levels
of quality. This philosophy continues to be the cornerstone of
our success.
